M - Granbury-Hood County
The Granbury–Hood County team built this ramp in April 2010 for a client who is wheelchair bound. It replaced a rotting ramp that led from his porch to a low area that was covered by a foot of water every time rain rushed down his driveway. It had no railing and was covered in asphalt roll roofing material for traction due to the steep grade. A new two-module ramp puts Mr. Cooksey onto a nice high and dry spot next to his driveway. Granbury volunteers included Keith Hall, Jeremy and Aleck Blohowiak, Gordon Johnson, Mike Macho and team leader Joe Overstreet.
