It was a Saturday night on May 25, 2024 when lives were changed forever in the small town of Valley View, TX when a deadly EF-3 tornado with 135 mph winds struck in the darkness. One family was hit especially hard when their home and the wheelchair ramp they depend on was severely damaged. Last week, a group of community volunteers from the U.M. Army of NxNW Texas, LDS Church of Frisco, Gainesville Kiwanis Club, and the Texas Ramp Project, led by Pete Carey, joined together in the re-building of the wheelchair ramp, once again providing much needed access and freedom to the family.
