The San Angelo Health Foundation has announced its first-quarter grant awards and invited the community to help celebrate the nonprofit organization’s 30 years of impact, according to a media release.
“Since its inception, the San Angelo Health Foundation has played a vital role in improving community health through strategic grantmaking and partnerships,” the media release said. “This 30-year celebration is an opportunity to highlight its enduring impact and ongoing efforts to foster a healthier, more vibrant Concho Valley.”
The celebration: Where and when
The 30th anniversary celebration will be 4-6 p.m. May 14 at the Sugg Community Room in the Stephens Central Library, 33 W. Beauregard Ave. The event is open to the public.
Steve Cecil, the nonprofit’s board chairman, encouraged community members to come and mark the foundation’s three decades of service in the Concho Valley.
“The event will provide an opportunity to reflect on the Foundation’s contributions, honor past achievements, and engage with those who have been instrumental in its success,” the media release said.
Grant awards
In addition, Grants Committee Chair Carlos Rodriguez announced in the media release that the Foundation awarded $509,678 in first-quarter grants to four area nonprofits. Here are the first-quarter grant recipients:
- Family Resource Network in Mason — $30,000 for program funding.
- Frontera Healthcare Network — $113,850 for the Mason Clinic renovation project.
- Quail Valley Volunteer Fire Department — $335,828 to build a second fire hall.
- Texas Ramp Project — $30,000 to build wheelchair ramps for Concho Valley residents.
