In Memoriam: Garner McNett

“No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another.”

Mr. Garner McNett, our former President of the Board of Directors and long-time volunteer of the Texas Ramp Project passed away on January 05, 2026 in Dallas, Texas. Garner was 87 years old.

Garner was very active at King of Glory Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council and helped with the formation of the King of Glory Foundation. He was also actively working and advising for others as President of the Texas Ramp Project, the Boy Scouts of America and delivering food for Meals on Wheels.

Garner is survived by his wife of 58 years, Louise McNett; twin children, Sarah Louise (Brian) Kenaga, Paul Garner McNett, three grandchildren, Colin James Kenaga, Hanna Garner Kenaga, Rylen Louise McNett, and one brother, James Armstrong (Boon Keng Woo) McNett.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, 1:00 p.m. at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 6400 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, TX 75240.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to King of Glory Foundation, the Texas Ramp Project, or a charity of your choice.
