THANKS TO ALL OUR VOLUNTEERS!

For the 1st quarter 2025, with your help, we built 69 ramps!    This was in spite of all the bad weather we’ve had so far. Hoping the 2nd quarter is even better.  THANK YOU!!

Kiwanis Club of McKinney

This group has been a great support to our organization, building many ramps in the McKinney area. Thanks for all you do. See some photos of the ramp builds on the Kiwanis Club of McKinney’s website.

The Rotary Club of Grand Prairie

Under the leadership of Carolyn Wicker, this organization has helped us  build most of the ramps in Grand Prairie. We are really grateful for their help!

  • Please park at the front of the warehouse.  The rear of the warehouse is utilized for loading materials.
  • Plan on staying until the ramp is finished. Some ramps take longer than others due to size, complexity, and amount of on-site customization. If you must leave at a certain time, please make this known at the warehouse as ramp assignments are being made. On average, ramps are finished in 3 to 6 hours but that is not a guarantee. Please have your team members communicate any time conflicts with Dallas Ramp Project Leadership before leaving the warehouse.
  • Be prepared for safe construction workflip flops or similar shoes are unsafe and should not be worn. If your group consists of volunteers under the age of 18, we require at least two adults to accompany them.
  • Bring cordless drills (if you have one), work gloves, snacks, bug spray and sunscreen, and plenty of water.
  • Check for weather related updates on the Dallas home page after 6:30 A.M. on build days.
  • We welcome anyone to our volunteer community ages 16 and older. However, if your organization has children younger than 16 years old, please contact us to discuss how we can accommodate your team. Our onsite Team Leaders will be leading the wheelchair ramp build and cannot be responsible for supervising or monitoring the children, therefore, the parents and/or adult supervisors need to be responsible for the children to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all Volunteers.
  • We do not transport volunteers to/from the site.
