A happy Thanksgiving as the Texas Ramp Project provides freedom to Miss Lillie in Shelby County.

Kelly Gant, one of the Texas Ramp Project’s most experienced builders, volunteered to travel to East Texas to train and work with one of our newest Regional Directors, Lee Harris. Together, with a team from the First Baptist Church of Lufkin, they were able to build only the second Texas Ramp Project ramp ever built in the region to provide safe ingress and egress access to the home of a wonderful and grateful neighbor, Miss Lillie.

Kelly is an active builder with the Dallas Region’s highly successful ramp organization and her commitment to the Texas Ramp Project is unmatched. She has unselfishly offered travel to where ever she is needed to train others in the safe and efficient building of wheelchair ramps and thus will allow the Texas Ramp Project to continue to expand our service to those in need of safe access to their homes and experience the freedom that they have not had for many years.

The commitment of volunteers like Kelly and Lee Harris, and organizations like the First Baptist Church of Lufkin, and all the other volunteers and organizations across the state, is the heart and soul of the Texas Ramp Project.
