On Saturday, February 01, 2025, Lee Harris, Texas Ramp Project Build Leader in Angelina, Nacogdoches, and Shelby Counties, with a team of Home Depot volunteers, generously donated their time to build a much-needed wheelchair ramp for one of their neighbors.

The old stairs were not only unsafe but they were a barrier to a life of freedom.

The wonderful volunteers from The Home Depot and the Texas Ramp Project arrived and during the course of 5 hours on this beautiful Saturday in East Texas, gave the family freedom and mobility. Volunteers Angela, Michael, Jarod, and Juanita along with Lee Harris and Texas Ramp Project volunteers, built not only new, safer stairs for the family but built a safe and sturdy wheelchair ramp.
