Pennymac Financial Services has a growing partnership with the Texas Ramp Project in support of Pennymac’s Commitment to Community engagement, which includes support of underserved populations. The partnership launched in 2024 with Pennymac inviting Texas Ramp Project to their annual volunteer fair. Employees from two Pennymac offices volunteer on a regular basis to build ramps in the spring and fall. The volunteer ranks continue to grow, which has enabled TRP to serve more clients in the Dallas-Ft Worth area while also reducing the client wait time for a ramp.

The Texas Ramp Project offers a unique volunteer experience. Volunteers can help transform a client’s life in about 4-5 hours. Sherrika Hastings, Pennymac’s lead volunteer build coordinator, shared the following perspective.
“The work we do with the Texas Ramp Project perfectly aligns with our commitment to the community at Pennymac. Building these ramps isn’t just about driving screws into wood; it’s about restoring freedom and mobility to someone’s life. The energy, camaraderie, and sense of purpose among our volunteers during these builds is truly inspiring. We walk away from every site knowing we’ve made a real, immediate difference.”
Our volunteers consistently tell us that working with the Texas Ramp Project is one of their most fulfilling experiences. Physically building a pathway to freedom for a community member is a powerful reminder of the impact we can have when we work together.”
The Texas Ramp Project welcomes the opportunity to talk with your company or organization about partnership opportunities to change the lives of elderly and disabled Texans.
